Ten years.
When we gather together on June 6-8, 2017, on the campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, it will mark the tenth time we’ve gathered together to learn, share and strategize when it comes to how to recruit student-athletes the right way.
So, why attend this National Collegiate Recruiting Conference?
First of all, lets talk about the setting – and I’ll share something personal here: I was getting tired of hotel meeting rooms.
Sure, that’s a little bit petty. I mean, at the end of the day, does it really matter where we meet to learn? As long as it has four walls, an in-house restaurant, and a comfortable hotel room, isn’t that ‘good enough’? Yeah, maybe.
But you already get that when you attend your annual coaches convention. So moving forward, we want to move away from the standard hotel ballroom, and move NCRC onto iconic college campuses around the country. If you’re going to devote time coming to our annual conference, we want you to be able to do so in a unique setting that ties-in with your college coaching DNA.
For our 10th annual conference, we’re meeting on the campus of Duke University. We’ll be adjacent to historic Cameron Indoor Stadium, and walk past Krzyzewskiville to join our fellow coaches for our three days of learning. This year, our attendees will even get to spend a few minutes shooting hoops on the stadium floor. And the conference itself will take place in Scharf Hall, next to the Duke Basketball Museum and Athletics Hall of Fame.
Now doesn’t that sound better than a hotel meeting room?
Secondly, it gives you many more options for hotel accommodations, in a variety of price ranges, as you attend the conference. And if you’re flying to NCRC 2017, you’ll have access to one of the best and most economical airports in the country, Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). Providing you, our coaches, with the most economical options possible.
Third, to that end, we were able to keep our low registration fees the same this year as we did in 2016. Our popular discounted early registration option is available through February 28, 2017. Our regular registration is available through May 30, 2017. And based on your feedback, we’ve moved the conference to the middle of the week – Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning – to make it possible to attend in case you have recruiting and coaching responsibilities on the weekend.
Lastly, and most importantly, this year’s speaker line-up will be amazing. The content we’ll pack NCRC 2017 with will be amazing, and it will put you in a position to truly dominate your next recruiting class. Check back regularly to see the full line-up announcements as we introduce our speaker line-up leading up to the conference. And by the way, if you’d like to be one of our speakers, click here. We want coaches to come and share their ideas, strategies and methods…it’s what makes this conference special.
Coach, our 10th anniversary conference will be special. We hope you can attend!
