At some point in their careers, most college coaches are faced with turning around a program.
They’ll either be hired to come to a campus and take over a program, or they’ll assess where their own program is and realize they need to head in a different direction.
In this episode of the College Recruiting Weekly podcast, we talk to University of Southern Mississippi women’s golf coach Erika Brennan, who is in the process of building her Division I program into a regional and national power. We ask her about how she’s turned around the direction of her program so quickly, and have her reveal some of the unique ways that she’s been able to do that.
Coaches who listen to this podcast episode will come away with clear ideas on the things to do first when they decide to turn around a program, what mistakes most coaches make in the process, and how to have it all happen sooner, rather than later.
