by Mandy Green, Busy Coach
When I first started out as a college coach, I felt the need to sell my:
Facilities
Location
Team
Academics
Coaching.
Among other things.
While talking about those things are necessary things to share with a recruit, I found that the way I was doing it was getting me just ok results.
Getting ok results is not a way to build a powerhouse program.
I had a mentor of mine tell me that I was selling the wrong thing.
He said that I should be selling TRANSPORTATION.
He said that I need to transport recruits from their fear, insecurities, and what they don’t want in their college experience towards pleasure, incentives and what they do want to become in the future.
When I started selling and delivering TRANSPORTATION, it was crazy how I was able to move the recruiting process along faster.
