Our Director of Admissions Services, Jeremy Tiers, has personally trained hundreds of new and experienced college admissions professionals to be smarter, more efficient recruiters and leaders. From small, private colleges with a staff of five to larger public institutions with a team of thirty, he’s done it all.

Our high energy, engaging, recruiting workshops provide admissions and enrollment teams with the latest tools and training they need to guide students and families successfully through the college search process.

You and your colleagues will receive practical take-a-ways along with sales, marketing and communication strategies that you can implement immediately.  These are based on our national research with high school prospects and current college students, as well as customized findings that we uncover during our detail-driven visit to your campus.  Schools continue to tell us this is the most comprehensive professional development training available to admissions and enrollment staffs.

Here’s what we’ll do with you during our time on-campus:

Our In-Depth Student Recruiting Survey: Prior to our arrival on campus, Tudor Collegiate Strategies will conduct an in-depth focus group recruiting survey with your current freshmen.  We research a number of different aspects of their recruiting experience and uncover the reasons they chose your institution, what they see as your greatest recruiting challenges, and how your admissions staff could have done a better job when it came to recruiting them to your campus.Workshop2

Live Interactive Workshop Sessions: These fast paced, custom designed interactive training sessions will give admissions professionals advanced instruction in becoming highly effective “sales professionals.” We’ll offer dozens of proven strategies, tips and techniques that are guaranteed to give your team an admissions recruiting advantage. Topics that we’re frequently asked to speak on include how to tell your school’s “story,” asking effective questions, overcoming objections, connecting with parents, communication flow, social media and “closing” prospects.

Individual Consultations: We take the time to meet one-on-one with all of your admissions counselors and directors, giving them personalized training and direction based on their individual needs and experience.  We make sure that your staff knows exactly what they need to do next, as well as how to use the information they’ve received from the various workshop sessions.

Optional Third Day of Training – Campus Visit Overhaul: If your department chooses, we will stay an additional day on campus to talk to your students and take them through a focus group session where they critique and suggest needed alterations to your current campus visit experience. In taking them through our proprietary training session, we develop a new prototype campus visit experience that they feel would better sell their generation of students prospects on your campus. Then, we gather your admissions and campus visit leadership together for a discussion of the results, and we discuss back-and-forth how to best take advantage of this new information that we’ve uncovered.
